Wafu, Greenhills

Wafu is a new Japanese fine dining restaurant located in Greenhills, San Juan City near the famous Gloria Maris Chinese restaurant. The place has really impressive interiors and an atmosphere that best suits romantic dates. This is where we celebrated my 20th birthday and I wouldn’t have chosen a better Japanese buffet to enjoy than Wafu’s Teppanyaki Omakase Buffet. This is not your typical get-whatever-you-want-eat-all-you-can buffet because Wafu boasts a mouth watering 12-meal course sit down buffet.

U.S. Hanger Steak with Shemeiji Mushroom

The  U.S. Hanger Steak with Shemeiji Mushroom (photo not ours) was our favorite of the 12 courses. It was the definition of a well-cooked steak with a perfect sauce. The presentation was also simple yet elegant.

Next on our list was another medium well cooked beef, the U.S. Tenderloin Steak!! Wafu’s Tenderloin steak style was unlike others since it was served with it’s special sauce and mongo bean sprouts. The garlic-y taste was also plus points for this dish.

Blue Marlin

We tried some Japanese restaurants before Wafu and ate many grilled fish with different sauce but Wafu’s Blue Marlin was something special that’s why it’s in the list. The fish complimented the Wasabi sauce perfectly that’s why we loved it till the last bite!

Sushi Sampler

Tim hates sushi or anything raw so just to rub it in her face I placed Wafu’s Sushi Sampler to the list. It was simple and tasty. Plus I made my girlfriend make an ugly face after forcing her to eat one roll.

Wafu is a place where every Japanese cuisine fanatic would fall in love. The food is worth every penny you will spend. It’s also a good place to catch up with your family and loved ones.
